This post was inspired by this picture:

There is a recipe that explains how to make it, but I made up my own, easier version with pictures.

Ingredients
16 meatballs (I used Meijer brand, they are delicious and small, so you can use a whole one)
1 can Pillsbury Grands (the ones with layers)
Shredded mozzerella cheese
Spaghetti sauce

First, pull all 8 biscuits in half, giving you 16.

Then, add a layer of cheese.

Then, add a meatball to each one.

Then, roll each individual biscuit into a ball.

Then, bake according to the biscuit box. I pulled them out when they started looking golden brown on top. It was enough to cook the meatball and melt the cheese.

This is what they look like after they are done...

And this is what they look like inside. SO. GOOD. Dip in the sauce and you have a meal!!!

DIY Soap

I think soap is cool. There are a lot of soap DIY's on the craft board, and here are two that I made.

The first one is the popular Jack Daniels soap dispenser! It really is awesome... so awesome that we kept it for ourselves even though it doesn't match our bathroom! S decided he wanted blue soap, so blue soap it has. We originally bought a dispenser from Bed, Bath and Beyond, but the threading didn't match up. So we did a lot of Googling and came across a blog post with a solution!

This is what she said:
"Please Note: I bought Caldrea soap from Target (it was in the kitchen section, not with the soaps). From what I can tell, the pump thread is a universal size, but you have to be careful to get a pump that does not bulge out at the spring as it will not fit in the bottle neck."

So we went to Target and bought the soap she mentioned. It looks fine. The first photo is from her blog, the second photo is the one we made!

My second soap adventure was inspired by this blog post. Basically, it says to make your own foaming soap, use regular soap and water it down 50%. I used an empty foaming dispenser from Bath and Body works, and ended up using the Caldrea soap from Target (since we only needed the pump for the Jack Daniels project.) I filled up the bottle halfway with soap, finished filling to the top, and shook it until it was mixed. TA- DA... foaming soap :) (Again, first photo is from the other blog, second photo is mine!)

Shag Rug

I saw this rug tutorial on Pinterest, and decided to make my own!

If you click the link, the tutorial is on there. Here are some of my pictures: (It is not yet finished. She's not kidding when she says it takes foOoOoreverrr!)

Here are some handy dandy tips:
- I used an old tshirt as the base and bright bed sheets from the thrift store as the shag part.
- Really, don't worry about the size of your strips. I was guesstimating and it looks awesome.
- Also don't worry about seams.
- If you have one, use a rotary cutter!! It will save you a lot of time.
- I used nail scissors to poke all the holes, and to poke the fabric through. I tried cutting holes, but they were too big and stretched out. So, poking worked for me.

Have you made one of these? What tips do you have?
